The Vein Institute is growing – we are now able to offer some exciting opportunities to nurses and sonographers at our multiple locations.
Our current practices are in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, with plans to open in other Australian capital cities.
We are looking for health care professionals who specialise in sclerotherapy care.
The nursing role will consist of:
- Performing microsclerotherapy independently
- Clinical assistance
- Consultation process and maintaining relationships with patients
- Clinical Administration such as inventory management, protocol improvement etc
Nurses with experience performing microsclerotherapy will be highly regarded.
We do require the candidate to be APHRA eligible.
The sonography role will consist of:
- Providing ultrasound guidance during procedures
- Performing ultrasound of the venous system, proficiency in all related studies
- Clinical Administration such as inventory management, protocol improvement etc
- Clinical assistance as required
Sonographers with experience performing ultrasound guided procedures and highly competent venous anatomical knowledge.
It is preferable the candidate is eligible for ASAR registration.
Most importantly, you have a passion for venous work and prioritise patient outcomes.
Initially, we are concentrating on expanding our Sydney team but would still love to hear from you if you have hopes of settling in elsewhere.
Regardless of the role or your base location, there may be opportunities for interstate work AKA a chance to check out the other cities.

There will be a first step of having equivalency determined by ASMIRT for sonographers and The Nursing Midwifery Board (APHRA)
