BAS events are organised by The British Association of Sclerotherapists (“BAS”) which will collect, process, control and store your data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. When you book to register, sponsor or speak at one of our events we collect personal information which may include name, organisation, GMC/NMC/GDC registration number, role, address, email, phone number, dietary or special access requirements and any other information necessary to provide you with event services and to administer the event.
We would like to continue contacting you with details of BAS events, news, offers and occasional information from our sponsors. By registering for or sponsoring an event you consent to us contacting you via email, phone or post for these purposes. You may unsubscribe from such communications or request not to be contacted at any time, or request that we delete the personal data we hold about you.
If you are a member of the British Association of Sclerotherapists, or are still registered to attend a future event, we will need to retain the data necessary to administer the event or manage your membership.
British Association of Sclerotherapists does not retain financial data such as your bank or credit card details.
Photographs and videos may be taken during sessions, break times, exhibition and social events which may be shared on our website and social media or used to promote future events. Virtual events will be recorded, and your questions and public chat messages will be visible to others who who view the event on demand later.
Any images taken by the BAS photographers or videographers remain the property of the organiser.

Refunds will be made in the following ways:
For payments received by credit or debit cards, the same credit/debit card will be refunded. Any charges will be for the payee’s account.
For all other payments, a bank transfer will be made to the payee’s nominated account.
For payments received from outside the UK, the refund will be made by bank transfer and all bank charges will be for the registrant’s account.
Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to any BAS event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk.
Neither the organisers, venue or sponsors will be responsible for any loss, theft, damage to your personal belongings or expense you may incur on the premises or as a result of attending the event.
If attending a physical event you must comply with all relevant legislation relating to health and safety and with any safety announcements and venue regulations of which you are made aware whilst attending the event.
