Apply for membership

Full membership of the British Association of Sclerotherapists is open to suitably qualified medical professionals who comply with GMC, NMC or GDC regulations and good practice guidelines and can demonstrate relevant clinical experience, training and indemnity insurance.

Associate Membership is open to medical professionals with limited practical experience of sclerotherapy OR sclerotherapy practitioners who are not members of GMC, NMC or GDC but comply with the regulations and good practice guidelines of their appropriate professional body and can demonstrate relevant qualifications, training, and indemnity insurance. Associate members may apply for full membership after 2 years of practice and/or evidence of further relevant CPD or clinical experience. Associate members shall enjoy all the benefits of full membership apart from a listing in the BAS online practitioner directory.

The annual subscription is £140 for full membership, £125 for associate membership.

HOW TO JOIN

To apply for membership please submit the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM   and upload the following documents in support of your application:

–  Your CV OR statement of qualifications OR link to online biographical profile
–  GMC/NMC/GDC registration number, or proof of membership of equivalent governing body
–  Details of sclerotherapy training (training certificate, or if you don’t have one then please advise details of who trained you, when and where)
–  Copy of current professional indemnity/malpractice insurance certificate

Once your application has been approved, we’ll email your member log in details with an invoice for payment of the relevant subscription.

The annual membership subscription is £140 for full membership and £125 for associate membership, payable annually on 30th June. Members joining part-way through the membership year will pay a pro-rata subscription, and monthly payments can be arranged on request.
